Vaidas Vileikis

MArch RIBA ARB

Vaidas is a Lithuanian-born RIBA and ARB-registered architect. He established Architecture Vaidas Vileikis in 2019 after a decade-long span of working for some of the most prominent architects in London including Stanton Williams, Marek Wojciechowski Architects and Hogarth Architects. In growing AVV, Vaidas builds on the experiences gained and practices developed while working for award-winning architectural offices in London passed through the lens of his unique background, design ethos and strong determination to create his own brand of architecture.

Having grown up in the early post-soviet era Lithuania, Vaidas has a unique take on the role played by the built environment in the physical and mental well-being of its inhabitants. He has witnessed first-hand the opening up and integration of his country into a modern Western way of living and the shift from utilitarian mass-produced housing to a more humane and tailored approach which led to a sharp uptick in productivity and quality of life. Vaidas strives for continuous improvement of the built environment in a lasting way that rejects short-lived trends and unsustainable practices.

The solid body of experience notwithstanding, Vaidas is a strong believer in continued learning and ongoing professional development. It includes, among other things, an inward look and reflection on past projects, relationships and experiences to always learn, grow and improve professionally and personally. Every new project is a confident fresh start informed by past experiences but also assessed on its own unique merits and circumstances to ensure no two projects are the same.
